Kia ora koutou,
We hope you have had an enjoyable summer break and appreciated having the extra help around the farm or house over the holidays. As we prepare for the new school year, there are several important updates and reminders to share with you.
1. Informal 'Check-in' Session
On Monday, 2 February, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, we will be holding an optional "check-in" session. This is an opportunity for students and families to say hello to their 2026 teachers and feel reassured that we are ready for their return to learning. This is not compulsory, but rather a way to help ease any "back-to-school" nerves or anxiety your child may be feeling.
2. Stationery
Stationery has been ordered and will be ready for students on their first day, Tuesday, 3 February. The cost is $30 per pupil. Accounts will be sent home soon, this is just to inform you of the costs. Please make payments to the school account below, using your child’s name as the reference.

3. Daily Essentials
To ensure students are comfortable and ready to learn, please send them to school daily with:
4. Classroom Contributions
We ask that each child brings a named box of tissues for classroom use. Additionally, if your child is in Kākano or Tupu, please also supply a tub of sidewalk chalk.
5. Swimming – Week 2
Swimming lessons will begin in Week 2. Please complete and return the permission form as soon as possible via the Google Form . We are also pleased to announce that Mrs Roxburgh has taken on the role of Sports Coordinator and will be overseeing these arrangements.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at school soon!
